Mind Decay

BATA PA ako ng magkakonsepto ako ng tooth decay - dahil yun sa commercial ng Colgate. Ang pagkakarinig ko pa nun eh "toothtigen". Kaya pag nagsesipilyo ako nun sa harap ng salamin.. iniisip kong nasa ad din ako at natatanggal ng "toothtigen" ang bula.

Nasa koleheyo naman ako ng nagdebate sa klase namin sa depinisyon ng Language Decay. Isa ba raw porma ng language decay ang kawalan ng kakayahan ng tao magsalita ng isang linggwahe na hindi nahahaluan ng isa pang linggwahe. Wag na natin gawing subject ang Tagalog dahil halo-halo naman talaga to. Pero sabagay, kahit Ingles eh hindi rin naman puro. Sa konteksto ng usapan ang tinutukoy eh yung kakonyohan na pananalita o Carabao English.

Anywayz, dito tayo sa Mind Decay - ang pagkasira ng isip o kawalan ng kakayahan ng tao mag-isip ng tama at organisado?

Naalala ko bigla ang Malacañang.

Nung nakaraang linggo, nagulat ako sa pagbisita ko sa aking lungga. May mga sumagot pa sa luma kong entry. Si Macapado, ang dating Chancellor ng MSU Gensan ay presidente na nga talaga. Haha. Talagang nabigyan ng hustisya ang mga daing ng sinulat ko. Naisasakatuparan narin ang pagdanas ng buong MSU System na mapasailalim sa pamamalakad nya. Magaling na deisisyon mula sa magaling na "Pangulo" ng Pilipinas. Malamang tulad ng ginawa nya sa Gensan, marami din siyang magagandang proyekto na magiging hudyat ng pagtaas ng halaga ng matrikula at pagbaba ng bilang ng mga mag-aaral na makakayang mag-enroll. Mura parin naman daw. Hehe. Sa isang elitistang Mason - hindi na ako magtataka sa kahulugan ng mura.

Ganito ang pagpapala sa Pamantasang pinagmulan ko. Paraan ng hamon - ang manitiling mulat sa kabila ng mahigpit na piring. Ang paghasa ng isip nang hindi magka "Mind-digen".

not so nice

MY ROOMMATE will move in with "someone special" at the end of the month. She told me that it would be good if I can find a replacement. She had a good way of saying it - it's just like saying "Can you move that chair?". I was stunned by her sensitivity. We already talked before we moved to that house that it will already be our new home unless we leave this city.  But lust, I mean love talks so she wanted to move out anyway. I was devastated. That would mean my rent will be doubled. 

I don't want a new roommate. I like my privacy every weekened - when she's away for a hometown trip. So I thought I might as well just endure the high cost of rent. It's subject to a major realignment on my budget.

I asked my roommate if there's something I've done. She said I'm not the reason why she's moving out (oh yeah.. love right?).  She said she wanted to live close to where she works (and logical.. it's indeed easy to forget what we've agreed upon before). She then blurted out.. "Hindi kita lagi naiintidihan" (Ah ok. So I have an attitude problem). Don't get me wrong. She's been actually a good friend to me. I can't say I was not. I know she can attest to that... but I also know that I have moodswings. Some close friends can also attest to that. It's a personality. Can I change that?

I asked Analyn if I'm maldita. As simple as saying "Can you move that chair?".. She also replied.. "Oo. Maldita ka." Then she chuckled. Nodded. Then chuckled.

Oh well..

Then there goes Guagua. I asked him if I'm maldita. He said there are two categories of Maldita. One is just for the heck of it - plain evil and one is just assertive, strong personality. He said I'm the latter. I was relieved. Indeed I'm not so nice but I'm no evil.

Oh well..
